Fiber-optic 8-shaped cable OKT for suspension on overhead power lines, urban lighting pillars, between buildings.

OKT cable is designed for suspension on overhead power lines, urban lighting pillars, between buildings.

Description:

Suspension strand is made of stranded galvanized steel wires or FRP rod. It is put longitudinally to the cable core. Loose-tube cable. Central strength member is made of fiber reinforced plastic rod (FRP). Polymer tubes and plastic fillers are SZ-stranded around central strength member. Optical fibers are placed inside polymer tubes. Interstice inside and between polymer tubes is filled with hydrophobic filler. Cable core is wrapped by yarns. PET-tape is imposed on the cable core. Cable core and suspension strand are formed at once longitudinally with high density polyethylene jackets. Cable core jacket and suspension strand jacket are connected along.

On customer’s request cable design can have following options:

  1. Production of «dry» construction (water blocking yarns instead of hydrophobic filler).
  2. Change of the standard color of polymer modules and fibers.
  3. Number of fibers up to 288.
