OKBs cable

Fiber-optic cable OKBs for direct burial installation with central steel modular tube armoured by galvanized steel wires.

Application:

OKB-s is designed for installation into grounds of 1-5 groups (depends on cable construction), cable ducts, tunnels in case of high requirements of crush strength. OKB from flame retardant materials is designed for installation according to exclusive standards of fire safety.

  5. longitudinal watertightness of the cable is provided by a hydrophobic gel

Description:

Cable core is stainless steel tube. Optical fibers are placed inside a tube. Interstice inside cable core is filled with hydrophobic filler. The armour of galvanized steel wires is formed over the cable core. The interstice between modular tube and armour is filled with hydrophobic filler. The outer high density polyethylene jacket is extruded over the armour. In case the number of fibers exceeds 12 ring marking is used. and/or bundling with identification yarns.

On customer’s request cable design can have following options:

  1. Selection of flame retardant material of outer jacket (halogen-free HF compound or self-extinguishing PE).
  2. Change of the standard color of polymer modules and fibers.
